Elections
I want to thank everyone who took part. Putting yourself forward for public scrutiny and asking people to vote for you to join the B-HAG Council is a deeply personal commitment. I also want to thank everyone who read the pitches and voted in this election. We would not be here without you, and we will work hard to justify the trust you have placed in us.
I would also light to thank Bronte and Terri as they leave the council. They were founding members of the B-HAGs and represent an important part of our history.
This will be a ‘light’ newsletter as we’ve just been elected, but we’ve got our heads together and have big plans for our time in the chair!
Article Submission
Since the newsletter has started, two of the most popular segments have been the Craft Corner and the Indie Business Corner. If you would like to feature in HAG News, then we invite you submit articles to bhauthorsguild@gmail.com .

Greetings, my wicked darlings.
Thank you from the bottom of my black heart for re-electing me to the British HAG Council. I’m honoured to be here and will work hard to justify the trust you’ve placed in me. I’ll be focusing on the Indie Business Corner and HAG Chat, with a practical eye on visibility and support.
Speaking of faith, great album by George Michael, which leads us neatly into London Pride. It was truly fantastic to see so many wonderful people celebrating their true selves, and utterly horrific to wake up with the hangover from dancing with them. My own contribution, besides some sweet, sweet dance moves, was to release two queer horror stories for free: Invasion of the Hipster Beards and The Coconut Killer.
Last month I also released Til Death Do Us Part, A Civic Duty, The Taste of Sin and The Cold Dead Sea.
Sweet Screams!

Hello everyone.
Thank you for your vote of confidence in electing me to the British HAGs council. I couldn’t be more grateful—or excited! You can expect my focus to be on our craft corner and on contributing to social media. Whatever knowledge and useful tools I’ve gathered, I’ll share them for the benefit of our members.
Despite honing my craft while busy finishing my upcoming sequel to ‘Blade and Lyre,’ I’ve had plenty of opportunities to enjoy the summer in the countryside. Because I’m easily swept up in my writing, I’m taking extra care to recharge before the fall.
And don’t forget our writing sprints on our Discord server! They are a great way to boost your motivation, and you get to banter with other members in between.
Cheers,
S.E. Tykka

Thank you for electing me to the British Horror Authors Guild Council.
I look forward to supporting the community and spreading the word about British horror. My background is communications and social media, so hopefully I can use those dark marketing arts for good.
Right now I’m reading a lot of John Wyndham’s sci fi horror. The Midwitch Cuckoos is much funnier than I expected!
I’ve also released some free religious mystery horror and bird-based comedy horror stories, so you can enjoy that on my Substack.

Congrats to the new appointees, and thank you to the outgoing folks! <3
